Gentleform began in a very ordinary place — the middle of the night.

For years, I’ve been a side sleeper. No matter how tired I was, sleep never felt quite right. I’d wake up with a stiff lower back, a twisted feeling through my waist, or the sense that my body had been fighting the mattress all night. I tried adjusting pillows, changing mattresses, stacking cushions, even rolling towels under my side — nothing ever felt natural or consistent.

Some nights were better than others, but restful sleep always felt just out of reach.

What I noticed over time was simple: when you sleep on your side, there’s a gap between your waist and the mattress. That small space might not look like much, but night after night, it added up. My spine never felt aligned, and my body never fully relaxed.

I started looking for products that addressed that specific problem — not “sleep in general,” not medical devices, not gimmicks — just something that gently supported the body the way it actually sleeps. Most options I found were either too bulky, too firm, overly technical, or designed to force a position rather than support one.

Gentleform was created to be the opposite of that.
